Honcho Zine - Camp'24

The Honcho Zine is a curated publication consisting of art, poetry, essays, photos and stories contributed by Campout attendees, artists, and staff. The idea for the Zine was born out of the need to document our experiences beyond the confines of social media, creating a lasting archive that honors the multiplicity of perspectives that shape Campout, while also channeling the creative energy that tends to linger in the aftermath of the event.

Many of the images you will find in the Zine stem from a somewhat chaotic analog photography experiment, in which 30 disposable cameras were released into the wild for Campers to take snapshots of whatever they deemed snapshot-worthy. (Thank you Queeries team for helping us manage this project onsite!). A surprising number of cameras were returned, yielding a variety of visual perspectives. If you happened to be one of our anonymous photographers, or found yourself in front of the lens, this is your chance to finally see the results.
